Special Public Notice: 2017 Regional Conditions for Idaho - 3/17/2017: This is an informational Public Notice, announcing the Regional Conditions for Nationwide Permits in Idaho, and the status of section 401 water quality certification for NWPs in Idaho and Indian Country. The NWPs become effective on March 19, 2017, and expire on March 18, 2022. The Walla Walla District has made several changes to the Regional Conditions advertised in the June 13, 2016 Public Notice, based on comments from Federal, State, local agencies and the general public. Changes generally include re-working the condition for clarification, or deleting a condition that was repetitive with an existing Nationwide Permit General Condition.

NWW-2004-1200073 - 2/8/2017: Interested parties are hereby notified that this District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in navigable waters of the United States to Complete Phase 2 of the original project at Dover Bay Marina (permit issued January 24, 2006). Phase two work includes installation of dock and breakwater structures to provide safe boat moorage.

Special Public Notice - 2017 Nationwide Permits - 1/12/2017: On January 6, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published the notice in the Federal Register announcing the reissuance of all 50 existing nationwide permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions with some modifications. The Corps also issued two new NWPs, one new general condition, and five new definitions. The 2017 NWPs will go into effect on March 19, 2017, and will expire on March 18, 2022.

NWW-2010-00514 - 11/10/2016: Interested parties are hereby notified that the Walla Walla District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in Waters of the United States. The purpose of the proposed project is to construct a third hydropower generating unit which will improve the reliability and efficiency of the Black Canyon Dam operations. In addition, this project will also complete electrical safety improvements for the overall facility by installing a new switchyard and upgrading controls for the existing units.

NWW-0-48760 - 10/14/2016: Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received to modify a Department of the Army permit, NWW-0-48760, issued on March 30, 1992, for certain additional work in waters of the United States, including wetlands. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve power plant functions and efficiency by narrowing a section of the power canal to match the original design width.
