NWW-2011-00187 - 9/7/2017: Interested parties are hereby notified that the Walla Walla District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in Waters of the United States, including wetlands. The project purpose is to widen an existing segment of the Greenbelt pathway to improve capacity and safety. Aquatic Resources: the Penitentiary Canal, to include unnamed wetlands.

NWW-1994-0202770 - 7/6/2017: Interested parties are hereby notified that an application has been received to modify a Department of the Army permit, NWW-1994-202770, issued on June 29, 2017, for certain additional work in waters of the United States, including wetlands. The purpose of the proposed project is to construct recreational cabins for the public to pursue outdoor activities, in the vicinity of Payette Lake.

NWW-2015-00114 - 6/29/2017: Interested parties are hereby notified that the Walla Walla District has received an application for a Department of the Army (DA) permit for certain work in Waters of the United States, including wetlands, for work in/near Fox Creek, and several unnamed tributaries. On July 14, 2015 the Walla Walla District solicited public comments on the work described in the attached public notice. The application was subsequently withdrawn on August 26, 2015 by the applicant in order to develop a detailed compensatory wetland mitigation plan. This Public Notice provides the public a second opportunity to comment on the proposed work and to comment on the proposed compensatory wetland mitigation.

NWW-2004-0600046 - 5/17/2017: Interested parties are hereby notified that the Walla Walla District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in Waters of the United States, including wetlands. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety for the traveling public and to increase the capacity of US 95, between Mile Posts 337.67 and 344.00. Thorn Creek and the South Fork of the Palouse are the two main tributaries in/near the project area. There are also several unnamed drainages and associated wetlands located throughout the proposed project area.

Special Public Notice: 2017 Regional Conditions for Idaho - 3/17/2017: This is an informational Public Notice, announcing the Regional Conditions for Nationwide Permits in Idaho, and the status of section 401 water quality certification for NWPs in Idaho and Indian Country. The NWPs become effective on March 19, 2017, and expire on March 18, 2022. The Walla Walla District has made several changes to the Regional Conditions advertised in the June 13, 2016 Public Notice, based on comments from Federal, State, local agencies and the general public. Changes generally include re-working the condition for clarification, or deleting a condition that was repetitive with an existing Nationwide Permit General Condition.
