17-003 Closure of bridge access to Little Goose Dam’s fishing wall, day-use area extended

Published Jan. 6, 2017

STARBUCK, Wash. – Due to navigation lock construction, access to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Little Goose Lock and Dam’s tailrace fishing wall and day-use area will remain temporarily closed until further notice. The Corps previously announced a temporary closure through Jan. 7.

The bascule bridge crossing the downstream navigation lock approach is expected to be inaccessible at least through Tuesday, Jan. 10, to accommodate critical lock gate work. Contractors will be moving one of the downstream lock gate leafs out of position to replace its pintle assembly.

The Corps will reopen the bridge, fishing wall and day-use area once construction work is completed. Follow Little Goose Lock and Dam on Facebook for announcements at https://www.facebook.com/Little.Goose.Dam/.
