WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Repair work will require temporary closure of the paved trail along the Bennington Lake return canal and the parking lot located about halfway up the hill on Reservoir Road, next to where the open-air section of the canal transitions to an underground culvert.
The trail will be closed Mondays through Thursdays, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning on Monday, June 11, until work on the canal is completed. For safety, visitors are asked to avoid work and equipment-staging areas, and respect all closure signs and barriers.
Contractors are also using the horse trailer parking area near the Mill Creek Project office as a staging and storage area for their equipment. Visitors with horse trailers should use the Bennington Lake parking lot.
