Published April 24, 2019

The Ice Harbor Lock and Dam Visitor Center, located on Ice Harbor Road, near Burbank, Washington, will reopen for visitors on Thursday, April 25, according to Tri-Rivers Natural Resources Management Office officials, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District.

The visitor center was closed April 15 to allow time to replace carpet worn by about 20 years of foot traffic from more than 140,000 visits. The new-carpet installation was completed a couple of days earlier than anticipated.

The visitor center is open daily, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through Oct. 31.

Park rangers encourage visitors to “like” and “follow” Ice Harbor Lock and Dam on Facebook for breaking-news and public-access announcements at www.facebook.com/iceharbordam.
