KAHLOTUS, Washington -- The roadway across Lower Monumental Lock and Dam will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 and will reopen at 06:30 a.m. Monday Aug. 5, 2019, to accommodate non-routine and routine maintenance activities, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.
During this week, multiple efforts will be occurring necessitating this requirement for the safety of personnel and equipment. This closure will impact all traffic across the dam during the above dates.
Dive work will be occurring to remove sensors installed this past February where data was collected to determine Fish Guidance Efficiency with units in various configurations in association with PNNL.
