Published Sept. 21, 2021

CLARKSTON, Wash. – There has been a recent rise in the number of homeless and transient individuals along day use areas and campsites. Rangers and staff are working with local community outreach organizations to assist those who need such services.

Increases in homeless camps on US Army Corps of Engineers sites matches a rise in poverty and homeless across the nation. Public lands are for public use, however, if there are concerns please contact the Lower Granite Natural Resources Office at 509-751-0240.
