22-015 Lower Granite is looking for volunteers

CLARKSTON, Wash. – Lower Granite Lock and Dam is looking for individuals or couples to serve as volunteers. There are two types of positions open: Visitor Center Host Volunteers and Janitorial/Grounds Maintenance Volunteers.

Volunteers will be provided with an RV site with full hookup and propane along the Snake River in exchange for 25+ hours of work a week. Weekend and holiday work required. Volunteers must provide their own RV. Individuals and/or couples are welcome to apply.

Visitor Center Host Volunteers at Lower Granite Dam Visitor Center located near Pomeroy, WA. Successful hosts have exemplary customer service skills, are comfortable speaking in public, are outgoing, energetic, professional, and physically able to conduct walking tours.

Janitorial/Grounds Maintenance Volunteers will be responsible for preserving the beauty of Corps of Engineers parks and public lands. Daily tasks will include locking/unlocking gates and bathrooms (mornings & evenings), cleaning restrooms, emptying garbage cans, cleaning firepits, filling dog bag dispensers, and cleaning graffiti. Most locations are located in Clarkston, Washington but there are out-of-town sites that will require attention as well.
