These G-rated movies will be shown on the following schedule:

·         Friday, April 6 – Charlotte’s Web. This 1973 cartoon version is about a talented and caring spider that saves a pig from the butcher shop.

·         Friday, April 13 – Charlie the Lonesome Cougar. This movie is reminiscent of the historic Clearwater River log drives of the local area, as Charlie the cougar demonstrates his own exciting logrolling skills. Rated G, for General Audiences.

·         Friday, April 20 – Yogi Bear. The classic television cartoon series hits the big-screen. This movie is intended for older kids and is rated PG, Parental Guidance suggested – contains some mild, rude humor.

Prior to each movie, Dworshak Dam Visitor Center staff will provide a 10-15 minute presentation about the wildlife or natural history depicted in the film. Dworshak staff would also like to invite the public to explore the many educational and fun displays at the visitor center, including a water safety room where children can play in a boat, create water safety posters and try on life jackets.

Visitors are also welcome to eat their lunch at the covered picnic tables outside the visitor center or visit nearby Viewpoint Day Use Area, which offers picnic tables, restrooms, a lawn area and a scenic overlook of the dam. Big Eddy Day Use Area also offers a playground, picnic tables and hiking trails where families can enjoy the spring weather before or after viewing a Friday movie at the visitor center.
