MEDIA ADVISORY: News reporters who wish to obtain interviews with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District officials regarding the proposed Port of Lewiston dock extension application and public hearing the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 19, need to RSVP to Gina Baltrusch at 509 527-7018 or gina.c.baltrusch@usace.army.mil, no later than 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
This media opportunity will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 5:50 p.m. to allow Corps officials time to transition to the open house portion of the public hearing, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Sacajawea Junior High School, 3610 12th Street in Lewiston. The formal portion of the public hearing is set to begin at 7 p.m. All events are at this location.
There will be no media interview opportunities with Corps of Engineers officials after the public hearing due to post-event travel requirements. The 5:30 p.m. media session is open only to accredited news media.
