  • Dworshak discharge flow increases tonight; use caution

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Water discharge from Dworshak Dam near Orofino, Idaho, will temporarily increase starting at midnight tonight to make room in the reservoir for flood risk management purposes, US. Army Corps of Engineers operations officials announced today.
  • Media invited to interview key personnel, photograph inside Ice Harbor Lock and Dam during Open House

    MEDIA ADVISORY: News outlets will have the opportunity to take photographs\video inside Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, and interview key personnel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2. Cameras will not be allowed inside the dam, except during this opportunity. Adherence to media ground rules for use of photographic equipment inside access-restricted areas will be required. Media representatives planning to attend must contact the Public Affairs Office, (509) 527-7020 or cenww-pa@usace.army.mil, not later than 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, to pre-register for PAO-escorted access and clearance of photographic equipment. A limited number of parking spaces will be reserved for media near the main entrance to the event and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis during pre-registration.
  • Dworshak announces early-Spring recreation opportunities

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Enjoy springtime in picturesque north Idaho at outdoor recreation facilities operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Dworshak Dam and Reservoir. The boat ramp at Big Eddy is open. Other recreation facilities include a playground, picnic shelters, barbecue grills and a swim beach (water level permitting). The Big Eddy hiking trail is open all the way to Dworshak State Park.
