Mill Creek Office parking lot closure to occur Sept. 27

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Work to resurface and expand areas of the Mill Creek Office parking lot will require a temporary closure of the lot on Thursday, Sept. 27, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.
This work is part of the new Mill Creek Office construction project. Visitors needing to meet with Mill Creek Office staff during this time should call the office at 509-527-7160 to arrange to meet staff outside the work area.
The south side of Mill Creek (the unpaved side) will remain open to visitors during this time. Visitors are encouraged to use the parking area at Rooks Park and use the paved trails on the north side of Mill Creek -- a footbridge across the creek allows access to the south levee trails, the existing office and Bennington Lake.
