The Evaluation of National Register Edibility Abridged was prepared for the Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to maintain compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as pertains to the historic built environment aspects of the Mill Creek Flood Control Project (Project) .

This abridged version of the 2009 National Register Evaluation was prepared to fulfill Stipulation II.1 of the Memorandum of Agreement for the Demolition of Buildings at the Mill Creek Flood Control Project signed June 11, 2014. Although the original soil lab and operators residence were demolished for construction of a new office and garage, the Project retains most of its original 1940s design qualities, construction materials, mechanical systems, and visual relationships.
