Flood Control Work Under Special Authorization


Flood control activities pursuant to Section 205, Public Law 858, 80th Congress, as amended.

Fiscal year costs for preauthorization studies were $$7,500 for Baxter creek, Oregon; $7,500 for Garden City, Idaho; $7,500 for Lapwai Creek, Idaho; and $44,299 for Mill Slough, Idaho.

Emergency bank protection, Section 14, Public Law 526, 79th Congress.

Federal costs of $7,500 for streambank protection preauthorization study at Lawyer Creek, Kamiah, Idaho, were incurred in FY 1982.

Emergency flood control activities--repair, flood fighting, and rescue work (Public Law 99, 84th Congress, and antecedent legislation).

Federal costs for fiscal year were $100,211 for disaster preparedness, $67,744 for emergency operations, and $492,455 for rehabilitation.
