The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is investing $15 million to build a new fish ladder at the Mill Creek Diversion Dam, improving fish passage for steelhead, salmon, and bull trout while also enhancing flood risk management for the Walla Walla Valley. Construction, scheduled from summer 2025 to fall 2027, will upgrade the current infrastructure and pave the way for better fish population monitoring.
