Lower Granite Lock and Dam Visitor Center operations update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District invites the public to visit the Lower Granite Lock and Dam Visitor Center, open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The visitor center offers interpretive exhibits where guests can learn about migrating fish, hydropower, river navigation, environmental stewardship, recreation, wildlife and other USACE missions at Lower Granite Lock and Dam. Depending on the season, guests can also observe migrating fish ascending the fish ladder at the viewing window.

Books, educational materials, and gifts are available for purchase from the re-opened Discover Your Northwest bookstore located inside the visitor center, which has limited hours.

The visitor center also serves as a convenient starting point for exploring nearby recreation opportunities along the Snake River corridor. Visitors may pick up official U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation brochures and maps highlighting parks, boat launches, wildlife viewing areas, and points of interest throughout the region.
