Dworshak Dam closes some recreation areas for public safety

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has temporarily closed several recreation areas at Dworshak Dam and Reservoir due to flooding and mudslides.

The following sites are currently closed for public safety:

  • Merry's Bay Day Use Area
  • Dent Acres Recreation Area
  • Bruce's Eddy Recreation Are

The following sites remain open:

  • Dam View Campground
  • Canyon Creek Recreation Area
  • Big Eddy Recreation Area

Dent Campground and the Dent Group Camping Area are scheduled to open on April 12.

Reservations are required for all campsites and can be made through Recreation.gov, by using the mobile app, or by calling 877-444-6777.
