Public crossing at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam closed starting July 13

The public crossing at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Lower Monumental Lock and Dam will be closed July 13 through July 23.

During this period, all vehicle and pedestrian traffic across the dam will be suspended to ensure the safety of the public and Walla Walla District staff. USACE encourages travelers to plan alternative routes while the closure is in effect.

Normal crossing hours are once hourly, on the half-hour, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Alternative public dam crossings remain available at the Lower Granite Lock and Dam and the Little Goose Lock and Dam.
