Dworshak Dam and Reservoir is a flood control project completed in 1973 after seven years of construction. The 717-foot straight-axis dam is located on the North Fork of the Clearwater River about 5 miles north of Orofino, Idaho. The reservoir is 54 miles long and offers many recreation opportunities.
