Welcome The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a strong commitment to the Small Business Program and uses set-aside, sub-contracting and evaluation preference programs authorized by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Set aside programs protect small firms from having to compete with large firms. All large firms are required to assist us in meeting our Small Business targets by providing sub-contracting opportunities to all small businesses, and evaluation preference programs allow the federal government to award contracts to smaller firms even if their offered price is slightly higher than a large firm’s price. Mission Statement To sustain the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a premier organization in developing small businesses and maximizing their opportunities to participate in our procurements, thereby ensuring a broad base of capable suppliers to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers mission and strengthen our Nation’s economic development.
