Wear Your Life Jacket to Work Day
Employees with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, show their support for the North American Safe Boating Campaign ‘Wear your lifejacket to work,’ on May 20, 2016. Statistics show that 89 percent of those who drown at USACE lakes and rivers were not wearing a life jacket. Life jackets should be your family’s closest companions as you enjoy the water this summer. ‘Wear your life jacket to work’ is designed to get people talking about boating safety and show that if you can wear it at work, it’s just as easy to pop it on when on the water to have a fun and safe time.
