Listed below are the current Public Notices published by the Walla Walla District for proposed projects within the state of Idaho. The Public Notices are sorted by Effective Date and are provided in PDF format. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view these files. 

Viewing Public Notices. To view a Public Notice, left-click on the Permit Application Number (highlighted in blue). To download the file to your PC, right-click on the Permit Application Number, then select "Save Target As" from the menu.

How to Submit Comments. To submit comments via email, cut and paste the email address of the respective Project Manager's from the table below into an email and in the subject line of your email enter: Public Notice Comments for (referencing the specific project).  To submit comments in writing, send them to the respective Project Manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District Regulatory Division, 720 E. Park Blvd., Suite 245, Boise, ID 83712. All comments should include the permit application number and project name, your name, address, and phone number.

  • NWW-2004-0600046

    Expiration date: 6/16/2017

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the Walla Walla District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in Waters of the United States, including wetlands. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety for the traveling public and to increase the capacity of US 95, between Mile Posts 337.67 and 344.00. Thorn Creek and the South Fork of the Palouse are the two main tributaries in/near the project area. There are also several unnamed drainages and associated wetlands located throughout the proposed project area.
  • Special Public Notice: 2017 Regional Conditions for Idaho

    Expiration date: 3/18/2022

    This is an informational Public Notice, announcing the Regional Conditions for Nationwide Permits in Idaho, and the status of section 401 water quality certification for NWPs in Idaho and Indian Country. The NWPs become effective on March 19, 2017, and expire on March 18, 2022. The Walla Walla District has made several changes to the Regional Conditions advertised in the June 13, 2016 Public Notice, based on comments from Federal, State, local agencies and the general public. Changes generally include re-working the condition for clarification, or deleting a condition that was repetitive with an existing Nationwide Permit General Condition.
  • NWW-2004-1200073

    Expiration date: 2/28/2017

    Interested parties are hereby notified that this District has received an application for a Department of the Army permit for certain work in navigable waters of the United States to Complete Phase 2 of the original project at Dover Bay Marina (permit issued January 24, 2006). Phase two work includes installation of dock and breakwater structures to provide safe boat moorage.
  • Special Public Notice - 2017 Nationwide Permits

    On January 6, 2017, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) published the notice in the Federal Register announcing the reissuance of all 50 existing nationwide permits (NWPs), general conditions, and definitions with some modifications. The Corps also issued two new NWPs, one new general condition, and five new definitions. The 2017 NWPs will go into effect on March 19, 2017, and will expire on March 18, 2022.
