Dam View offers primitive camping for tents and RV’s with drinking water and a vault toilet available.  The campground offers a fantastic view above Dworshak Dam, but is not located on the water.  Dam View Campground offers the perfect place for quiet camping and you are just minutes away from Dworshak Dam Visitor Center and Big Eddy day-use area.  

Please consider the following when planning your trip to Dam View:

FEES

• This campground is 15.00 per night
• Load the Recreation.gov App on your cell before you arrive- cell reception can be sketchy depending on your phone and provider.
• The campsites are first come/first serve and cannot be paid for before you arrive, but you can pay for multiple nights once you arrive.
• There are step by step directions at the information board on what to do and how to use the Scan and Pay feature. 
• Fees must be paid within 30 minutes of arrival.
• America the Beautiful half off discounts are accepted for seniors 62 or older with a valid lifetime or annual pass.  Passes are available at the Visitor Center.

RULES:

• Camping length of stay at Dam View is 14 days out of 30 days.
• Quiet hours are from 10pm-6am- (no generators, music, loud talking, yelling, etc. after 10PM)
• Pets need to be on a leash and under control at all times.
• Potable water is available for camper use only. 
• Dam View is a “Pack It In-Pack It Out” campground.  Bags are located in the bottom parking lot of Dam View.   Dumpsters are available at Big Eddy Day Use Area.
• All campfires must be in a Corps of Engineers provided fire ring.
• Hunting is prohibited. 
• ATV’s use is allowed on the roadways by licensed drivers.
• Please keep the park clean by taking your trash with you when you leave and not burning garbage in the fire rings.

NOTE:

• Cell phone service is limited at best. 
• Restroom facilities consist of Vault toilets
• Open from May-September- check with the Visitor Center (208-476-1255) for off season camping times
• No fire rings at campsites 4-6.
