This area along the river to the base of the dam is used primarily by anglers and sightseers. This area offers a great view of the base of the dam. The fishing wall gives anglers the opportunity to fish for salmon and steelhead that are hanging out by the face of the Dam. Amenities that are furnished include stairs to the river, so you are able to grab your fish, cutting boards, portable toilet, “Pack It In-Pack It Out” bags, trashcans, and benches.
The fishing wall is located in a controlled access area, meaning any vehicles beyond the first set of barricades are subject to search. The area is monitored by surveillance cameras, and there is no overnight parking. Alcohol is also not permitted. There is handicap parking available, as well as a 5-minute unloading/loading area.
