Viewpoint Day Use Area is the perfect place for a picnic under the shelter and offers a great view of the dam and surrounding area.  On display are four core samples taken from beneath the dam during construction.  Viewpoint offers plenty of places to sit and relax.  A flush toilet restroom and trashcans are on site.  Viewpoint has been used for a backdrop for weddings and wedding photos.

Please consider the following when planning your trip to Viewpoint:

-The use of Viewpoint is free.

-Day Use area from 6am to 10pm.  No overnight camping.

-Viewpoint is open year round with the restroom open from April 1-November 30.

-Pets need to be on a leash and under control.

Note:

-Hunting is prohibited.

-ATV’s use is allowed on the pavement.

-Cell phone service is limited at best.
