* New in 2017, a large Group Use Area is available in the upper reaches of the park and is reservable through Recreation.gov.
* New in 2018, an emergency phone was installed near the entrance of Robie Creek Park. It is capable of making free local calls in addition to 911.
Robie Creek Park offers visitors a wide variety of recreational opportunities. This small park resides in the Mores Creek arm of Lucky Peak Lake and includes picnic shelters, grills, restrooms, playground equipment, and a kid-friendly swim area. A large open lawn allows for plenty of room to lay out a blanket, throw a Frisbee, and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery at the edge of the Boise National Forest. Located at the confluence of Mores Creek and Robie Creek and nestled between basalt cliffs, Robie Creek Park is one of the more scenic areas of Lucky Peak Lake.
Adjacent to the park is the free Robie Creek boat launch area – a one-lane ramp and dock with a restroom, swimming dock, and a small parking area. This arm of the lake is especially popular with non-motorized boaters since the low bridge over Mores Creek blocks motor boats and their wakes from a beautiful stretch of flat water favored by stand-up paddleboarders, kayakers and canoeists. Fishing can also be good on Mores Creek if you can elbow in among the osprey, especially when the kokanee begin their 20-mile run from Lucky Peak Lake towards Idaho City later in summer.
Park Ranger Marve Griffith notes, "Robie Creek is a great destination park. Whether you take the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Route or wind your way there through the mountains on Rocky Canyon Road, either way it's a great drive to a beautiful place."
