18-101 Corps temporarily closes Little Goose navigation lock

STARBUCK, Wash. – Little Goose Dam's navigation lock temporarily closed to all vessel traffic today because of a malfunction with the downstream gate machinery, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operations officials at the dam, located at Snake River Mile 70 near Starbuck, Washington.

Walla Walla District technical and maintenance staff are investigating the malfunction to determine a plan for repairs. Estimated return-to-service time is currently unknown.
