16-094 Corps restores Lucky Peak Dam road access to Barclay Bay, Lydle Gulch; Turner Gulch, Foote Park remain temporarily closed

Published Dec. 28, 2016
BOISE, Idaho – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff at Lucky Peak Dam and Lake reopened the road across the dam today, after clearing several feet of snow that prevented vehicle traffic.

Corps staff also cleared snow blocking the roads to Barclay Bay and Lydle Gulch recreation areas. However, visitor access to Turner Gulch and Foote Park remains closed because snow and ice accumulation on the roads to these areas presents a significant hazard to vehicles. Visitors are urged to avoid attempting to drive to these two recreation areas until conditions improve and staff are able to safely clear the route.
