18-032 Corps temporarily closes Shoreline Drive due to irrigation line break, potential instability

Published April 9, 2018
BURBANK, Wash. – As a precaution, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers temporarily closed Shoreline Drive, near Charbonneau Park, in Burbank, Wash., today, April 9, 2018, because of an irrigation line break near the road.

Visitors can still access the park and marina by traveling toward the Snake River via Sun Harbor Drive from State Highway 124.

Corps staff coordinated with Western Farmland LLC, the irrigation line and pumping station owner, to shut off the pump system and make repairs. The Corps will inspect the road for damage and/or stability issues. For safety, the Corps asks everyone to respect the road closure signs and barricades. Shoreline Drive will remain closed until any needed repairs are completed and it is determined as safe for vehicle traffic.
