AHSAHKA, Idaho – Summer is just around the corner and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Dworshak Dam Visitor Center will be open daily, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting Friday, May 25, of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
Tours of Dworshak Dam will be offered daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tours are limited to 8 people and photo identification is required.
The Visitor Center offers a variety of interesting and educational movies, plus interpretive exhibits to entertain and expand visitors’ knowledge about the history of the Clearwater River area.
To get to the Dworshak Dam Visitor Center, drive 5 miles west of Orofino, Idaho, on State Highway 7; turn right onto View Point Road and follow the visitor center signs for about 2 miles.
