STARBUCK, Wash. – U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers, Walla Walla District officials announced the intermittent closure of vehicle crossing on Little Goose Lock and Dam for the remainder of the day.
The crossing will return to normal operations tomorrow Friday, Nov. 16, 2018.
Next week, the lock and dam will be closed to vehicle crossing Tuesday, Nov. 20, and Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018. According to Lee Holmes, Operations Manager, Little Goose Lock and Dam, the closures are due to routine maintenance and inspections. “We are planning on having the lock and dam open to vehicle crossing on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day,” Holmes added.
Little Goose Lock and Dam produces hydroelectric power for homes and businesses and assists with navigation traffic.
