Summer is just around the corner and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dworshak Dam Visitor Center will be open 7 days a week starting Friday, May 24, of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Dam tours will be offered daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tours are limited to eight people, and photo identification is required.

“The Visitor Center offers a variety of interesting and educational movies to entertain and expand visitors’ knowledge about the rich history of the Clearwater River area,” said Dworshak Park Ranger Michelle East.

To get to the Dworshak Dam Visitor Center, drive 5 miles west of Orofino, Idaho, on State Highway 7; turn right onto View Point Road and follow the visitor center signs for about 2 miles.
