19-079 Corps seeks public input on proposed Columbia Park property disposal

KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) seeks public comments regarding the scope of the Columbia Park Land Disposal Environmental Assessment (EA).

The Corps is considering a request from the City of Kennewick, Washington, to dispose of approximately 72 acres of land in Columbia Park. The requested land disposal includes soccer fields, the Playground of Dreams, and Columbia Park Pond. The land disposal in Columbia Park is being considered under the Water Resources Development Act of 1996, Section 501(i). 

Public input/comments may be submitted July 8 through August 8, 2019. Comments must be emailed or postmarked no later than August 8 to be considered in the development of an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the effects of the Corps potentially disposing of this property.
