19-101 Lewiston Levee Trail to be closed for seal coating from Clearwater Landing Interpretive Center to Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center Oct. 2-3

Published Sept. 26, 2019

Clarkston, WA – A stretch of the Lewiston Levee Parkway Trail, extending from Clearwater Landing Interpretive Center to the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, will be closed to public access Oct. 2 to 3 to accommodate asphalt seal coating of the trail, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the Clarkston Natural Resources Office.

Work on this project is dependent on the weather and may occur on either or both designated days. After work is completed, the trail will need several hours to dry before it can be reopened. This application will protect and preserve the asphalt for several years before re-application is necessary.

Visitors should avoid any area designated as a closed construction zone, or marked off with caution tape or fencing. Recreational visitors may still access the lower gravel trail for walking, running, bike riding, etc.

For more information about this project or for general information, contact the Clarkston Natural Resource office at 509-751-0240.
