21-047 Corps of Engineers to close Asotin Boat Ramp during jet boat race Aug. 28-29

ASOTIN, Wash. – Due to the upcoming Thunder on the Snake Jet River Marathon, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lower Granite Natural Resources Office will be closing the Asotin Boat Ramp starting Friday August 27 and reopening Sunday August 29 for safety.

The jet boat race is being held Saturday August 28 and Sunday August 29 by the Thunder on The Snake jet boat club. To keep other boaters safe during the event, the Corps will be closing the Asotin boat ramp located in Asotin, Washington beginning 8 p.m. Friday August 27. The ramp will reopen 4:30 p.m. on Sunday August 29 after the race is over. There will be no access to the area during the closure.

The Greenbelt and Swallows boat ramps will remain open and available for public use.
