WALLA WALLA, WA – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District (Corps), in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and Washington State University (WSU), is inviting public comments on the Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed ARS/WSU Plant Biosciences Research Building to be located on the campus of WSU.
The proposed ARS/WSU Plant Biosciences Research Building (PBRB) would be four-stories tall with a half basement and a single-story pavilion on the east side of the building. The proposed action area is located at and around the present location of Johnson Hall within WSU’s Research and Education Complex. The building would provide laboratory, office, and classroom space for up to 320 researchers and students and provide primary workspace for several research programs.
