22-011 Sections of the Lewiston Levee Trail to be closed temporarily for hazard tree removal

Lewiston, Idaho. – The Lower Granite Natural Resources Management Office, part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District, will be closing sections of the Lewiston Levee Trail between Tuesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday Feb. 24 for hazard tree removal.

Contractors will be removing ten trees, which have been identified as hazards, to ensure the safety of trail users. Areas of the trail will be temporarily closed to ensure safe access for work crews and ensure protection of visitors during tree removal operations. Visitors should stay clear of work areas during tree removal.

Work will take place on the lower trail east of West Pond along the Dike Bypass (US 12).
