CLARKSTON, Wash.– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District has closed the Greenbelt Boat Ramp day use area in Clarkston, Washington to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until further notice.

The decision to close the Greenbelt Boat Ramp is due to safety concerns in the day-use area for USACE staff and the local community.

Additionally, the Evans Pond, Golf Course Pond and Asotin Slough day use areas have been closed due to vandalism.

Walla Walla District day use areas within the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley are generally open from 7:30 am to sunset, unless otherwise posted. Camping, habitation or overnight stays are not permitted within day use areas. The use of tents and other constructs are also banned. Abandoned or cached property left within day use areas after operating hours will be subject to removal. Failure to abide by these and other posted rules will subject offenders to removal and citations.
