AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam Visitor Center is announcing some upcoming temporary closures and cancellations. These closures are to accommodate staff training requirements and attendance at the Big Horn Show in Spokane, Washington.

The visitor center’s schedule will be changed in the following ways:

  • March 4 through 8: visitor center will be closed.
  • March 8: Walk with the Doc will be cancelled on the dam.
  • March 15: The visitor center will be closed at noon.

Boat ramps at Big Eddy and Bruce’s Eddy will remain open during the temporary change in schedule. The fishing wall below the dam will also be open for anglers.

As always, safety is our greatest concern. Boaters should wear life jackets and avoid drinking alcohol while boating. The road to the visitor center and Big Eddy can be icy during inclement weather, so please drive safely.

Normal operating hours for the Dworshak Dam Visitor Center are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information regarding facilities access and current conditions, call 208-476-1255 during business hours.
