BOISE, Idaho -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District invites your review and comments regarding the revised draft Lucky Peak Project Master Plan with accompanying Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Environmental Assessment (EA).
The Lucky Peak Master Plan is a conceptual document that guides how the Walla Walla District manages federal lands surrounding Lucky Peak Lake located on the Boise River near Boise, Idaho. It focuses on the management and development of the natural, cultural, and recreational resources on Lucky Peak lands. Master plans generally cover a 20-year period. They do not address dam operations and irrigation.
Comments will be accepted from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30.
An open house public meeting to review and discuss the plan is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Bogus Room located inside the St. Lukes Central Plaza Building, 720 E Park Blvd, Boise, Idaho, with a formal presentation at 6 p.m.
The revised draft Master plan, draft FONSI, and EA, along with the 1988 Lucky Peak Master Plan and other associated documents, are available on the USACE website at https://www.nww.usace.army.mil/Locations/District-Locks-and-Dams/Lucky-Peak-Dam-and-Lake/Lucky-Peak-Master-Plan/.
Comments may be submitted directly to USACE using the online comment form on the website or via email at LuckyPeakMP@usace.army.mil. On the website you will also find an interactive map of Lucky Peak Project lands, and you may leave comments via the interactive map.
To submit written comments via the U.S. Postal Service, mail them to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, ATTN: Lucky Peak Master Plan, 201 N. 3rd Avenue, Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876, postmarked no later than Nov 30. All comments received via mail, online or email will be considered and will become part of the public record.
