Corps extends public comment period to March 30 for Port of Lewiston Dock Expansion and Storage Area Development

LEWISTON, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District has extended a public comment period to March 30 for an Environmental Assessment (EA) and draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the “Port of Lewiston Dock Expansion and Storage Area Development.” The initial comment period was due to expire March 16.

Public involvement is part of the Corps’ compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

The EA and draft FONSI are available for viewing at the Corps’ website at www.nww.usace.army.mil/LewistonDock/default.asp. Comments on the Corps Environmental Assessment must be postmarked or e-mailed to the Corps by March 30, 2012, to be included as part of the public record.  Comments can be sent by e-mail to PortofLewistonDock@usace.army.mil or by U.S. Postal Service to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District; Environmental Compliance Section, ATTN: Sandy Shelin; 201 North 3rd Avenue; Walla Walla, WA 99362-1876.
