Corps offers 50 percent off weekday camping near Dworshak Dam

AHSAHKA, Idaho Outdoors enthusiasts can enjoy 50 percent off Monday through Thursday camping during the month of August at recreation facilities managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers near Dworshak Dam.

Dent Acres - Open April 7 through November 30 (weather permitting), park gates are always open during the season. Facilities: restrooms, showers, camping, group shelter, playground, day-use, picnicking, fishing, boat ramp, hiking trail and wildlife viewing. The trail and the boat ramp are accessible to the public April 7 - November 30 (weather permitting). Forty-two campsites at Dent Acres are designated reservable, and eight campsites are available on a non-reservable, first-come, first-served basis. Getting there: travel 20 miles north of Orofino, Idaho, on Dent Bridge Road.

In addition, America the Beautiful, Senior and Golden Age access passes are honored for a 50 percent discount all season long. Discounts are automatically applied at time reservation is made online, at the call center, or at campgrounds as well for non-reservable sites managed as first-come, first-serve sites.
