McNary navigation lock schedules four-hour closure to replace electrical circuit breaker

UMATILLA, Ore. – McNary Dam’s navigation lock, located at Columbia River Mile 292 near Umatilla, Ore., will close to all river traffic for four hours on Monday, Nov. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., according to operations officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District.

Maintenance workers need to replace a circuit breaker that is part of the electrical system used to operate the lock – no lockages will be possible during the brief lock closure.

Commercial navigation officials have been notified of the upcoming four-hour lock closure.
