AHSAHKA, Idaho – The Dworshak Dam Visitor Center will close during the Thanksgiving Day holiday -- Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation staff announced today.
The boat ramps at Big Eddy and Bruces Eddy open for use during the holiday schedule. Fishing enthusiasts will find and the fishing wall area below the dam also remains open.
The visitor center will reopen on Monday, Nov. 26, at 8:30 a.m. and resume its winter season schedule -- open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
When boating on the reservoir during winter months, always be aware of the symptoms of hypothermia, and wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device. The road leading to the visitor center can be icy and potentially hazardous during the winter, so please drive safely.
