14-093 Corps Regulatory Office moves to downtown Boise

Published Nov. 25, 2014
BOISE, Idaho – The Boise Regulatory Field Office will temporarily share office space with the Walla Walla District’s Boise Outreach Office in Washington Group Plaza on Park Boulevard in downtown Boise, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Program officials announced today.

The temporary new address is:

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
Boise Regulatory Field Office
720 Park Boulevard, Suite 255
Boise, ID 83712

The new location offers free parking for those visiting businesses located in the Plaza. Regulatory Office staff telephone numbers have remained the same:

General Line – 208-345-2155; Regulatory Division Chief – 208-376-1832; Project Managers – 208-345-2154/2286/2155; Project Manager, ITD Liaison – 208-345-2287.

“This move is temporary,” noted Kelly Urbanek, Walla Walla District’s Regulatory Division chief. “We are sharing space only until our new office is available, which will be located next door to the Outreach Office in the Plaza building. We hope to be moved into our final, co-located destination by early Spring.”

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers administers its regulatory program in the State of Idaho through the Walla Walla District Office located in Walla Walla, Wash. The Boise Regulatory Field Office, previously located in the Emerald Tech Park on the west side of Boise, processes Department of the Army permits required under Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 requires that a Department of the Army permit be issued for structures or work in navigable waters of the United States. Section 404 of the Clean Water Act requires that a Department of the Army permit be issued for the placement of dredged or fill material, including some excavation activities, in most surface waters and wetlands.

The Boise Regulatory Field Office processes permit applications for work in the following counties: Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Idaho, Owyhee, Payette, Valley and Washington.
