    BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District will begin drawing down the water levels of Lucky Peak Lake during the fourth week of July in preparation of the Turner Gulch boat ramp rehabilitation project.

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Officials at Mill Creek and Bennington Lake have enacted targeted public safety closures due to the ongoing Russell Creek Canal rehabilitation project. The closures have affected the following areas, roads and trails:

  • USACE awards Russell Creek rehabilitation and improvement contract

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has awarded a $1.9 million contract to Northbank Civil & Marine, Inc. to conduct a rehabilitation and improvement project on Russell Creek Canal, part of the Mill Creek Flood Control Project near Walla Walla, Washington.

  • Turner Gulch boat ramp rehabilitation project to shorten Lucky Peak boating season

    BOISE, Idaho – The Walla Walla District will be starting a rehabilitation project for the Turner Gulch boat ramp on Sept. 1, which will require Lucky Peak Lake to draw down starting the third week of July, shortening boating season by about a month.

  • 23-052 USACE to rehabilitate and improve Russel Creek Canal

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – This winter, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District will begin a rehabilitation and improvement project on Russel Creek Canal. The canal, a part of the Mill Creek Flood Control Project, is located downstream of Bennington Lake and runs approximately one mile from the lake to Russel Creek.

  • 18-088 Work starts Aug. 15 to rehabilitate Waitsburg Levee flood damage; intermittent traffic delays may occur on Hwy. 12

    WAITSBURG, Wash. – U. S. Army Corps of Engineers contractors plan to begin work Wednesday, Aug. 15, to rehabilitate flood-damaged areas of the Waitsburg Levee System, in Waitsburg, Washington. Intermittent traffic delays may occur on U.S. Route 12 as trucks and heavy construction vehicles enter and exit the work area near the Touchet River bridge.
