22-038 Corps updates Safe Lockage Policy for recreational vessels on Columbia, Snake rivers
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has put the following guidelines in place for the continued safe passage of recreational craft through the navigation locks at McNary, John Day, The Dalles, and Bonneville dams on the Columbia River, and Ice Harbor, Lower Monumental, Little Goose and Lower Granite dams on the Snake River:

22-005 Columbia and Snake river navigation locks will close in February for annual maintenance
COLUMBIA & SNAKE RIVERS, Ore. & Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District will close the District’s navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers in February for regularly-scheduled annual inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs.

COLUMBIA & SNAKE RIVERS, Ore. & Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct routine annual inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs at all navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers during March.

19-016 Ice Harbor Dam’s navigation lock temporarily closed
BURBANK, Wash. – Ice Harbor Dam’s navigation lock, located at Snake River Mile 9.7 near Burbank, Wash., closed to all river traffic on Saturday, Feb. 23, according to operations officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District.

16-069 Ice Harbor navigation lock repairs to temporarily slow lockage times
BURBANK, Wash. – Work on a tainter valve in Ice Harbor Dam’s navigation lock will temporarily cause increased lockage times Sept. 26 to Dec. 12, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers navigation officials at the Walla Walla District.

16-021 Dworshak flows to fluctuate while testing hatchery water systems
AHSAHKA, Idaho – Water discharged from Dworshak Dam and Reservoir will fluctuate Thursday and Friday, April 28-29, as staff conduct testing of the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery’s total dissolve gas (TDG) degassing equipment, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers water-management officials at the Walla Walla District.

15-047 Little Goose lock resumes normal service to boaters, shippers
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Little Goose Dam’s navigation lock returned to summer-schedule service at 4:30 p.m. yesterday after repairs to the downstream gate controls were completed. Little Goose Lock & Dam is located at river mile 70.3.
