22-029 Corps to hold public meetings to gather input for McNary Master Plan Revision

BURBANK, Wash.– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps) has scheduled two open house public meetings to provide information and accept comments on the proposed revision of the 1982 McNary Master Plan and accompanying Environmental Assessment.

The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, May 10 at the Red Lion Inn Columbia Center, Kennewick, Washington, and Wednesday, May 11 at the McNary Lock and Dam Visitor Center, Umatilla, Oregon. Both meetings will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be formal presentations at 5 and 6 p.m., and Corps staff will be present to answer questions and provide information.

These meetings are scheduled to provide information and provide an opportunity for you to tell the Corps how you use the lands surrounding Lake Wallula and how you would like to see the lands managed.

Those who do not attend the public meeting can still submit comments through June 2. The1982 Master Plan and other associated documents are available on the Corps’ website at https://www.nww.usace.army.mil/Locations/District-Locks-and-Dams/McNary-Lock-and-Dam/McNary-Master-Plan/.

All comments received will be considered and become part of the public record.
