    UMATILLA, Ore.– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District has prepared a draft McNary Master Plan with an accompanying draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Environmental Assessment (EA) to revise the outdated 1982 McNary Master Plan. The Walla Walla District will be accepting public comments from July 10 through Aug. 10.

    WALLA WALLA, WA– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District will be performing up to five five-acre treatments in Lake Wallula, the McNary reservoir near the Tri-Cities, Washington, with herbicide, Diquat Dibromide, at an application rate of two gallons per surface acre. This effort is to control the invasive aquatic plant species flowering rush.

    UMATILLA, Ore. – McNary Dam’s navigation lock will be temporarily out of service Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow inspection and measurement of the lock’s downstream and upstream gates brake shoes for future replacement, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers navigation officials at the Walla Walla District.
