  • Construction to begin at Mill Creek June 10

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District will begin construction projects at Mill Creek, June 10, to improve habitat conditions for endangered salmonids and improve flood risk management operations, while also replacing the boat ramp for public use at Bennington Lake.

  • 22-023 Dworshak Dam Adjusting Flow for Second Half of the Month

    AHSAHKA, Idaho –Dworshak Dam is currently discharging 9,500 cubic feet per second (cfs) to support local hatchery releases. Discharges will remain steady for the duration of next week before increasing to 14,500 cfs on the morning of the April 21 for regulating outlet functional test. The evening of April 21 the project will gradually start decreasing flows over the following days down to 4,700 cfs to continue filling.

  • 22-021 Dworshak Dam discharge to increase to support hatchery releases

    AHSAHKA, Idaho –Dworshak Dam is currently discharging 7,100 cubic feet per second (cfs). Discharges will remain steady for the next week before increasing to 9,500 cfs to support local hatchery releases. Discharge for the remainder of the month, after hatchery releases are concluded, is expected to be in the approximate range of 8,000 to 10,500 cfs.

    BURBANK, Wash. – The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has completed assembly on the second of three new advanced-designed hydroelectric turbines and begun its installation at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam.

  • 21-032 Dworshak Dam continues to refill as flow augmentation season approaches

    AHSAHKA, Idaho –Dworshak Dam releases will remain at 1,600 cubic feet per second (cfs) as the reservoir continues to refill throughout the month. This operation is intended to capture as much water as possible before the start of flow augmentation.

  • 19-026 Dworshak Dam discharge flows to temporarily increase to 5,400 cfs March 27-29 to help speed hatchery fish downstream

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – To give fish hatcheries an opportunity to release juvenile fish smolts, Dworshak Dam discharge flows will be increased Wednesday, March 27, starting at noon, from the current 1,600 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 5,400 cfs, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials. Reservoir managers plan to maintain the increased flows through Friday, March 29.
