The goals of this solicitation are for the Government to obtain quality services, at reasonable prices, to meet public demand, and at the same time, allowing entrepreneurs to make a fair profit.

18-016 Dworshak increases flow discharge to 20,000 c.f.s.

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Discharge flows from Dworshak Dam and Reservoir will be increased today, Feb. 16, 2018, beginning at 11:59 p.m., from approximately 17,000 c.f.s. (cubic feet per second) to about 20,000 c.f.s. to make room in Dworshak Reservoir to meet seasonal flood-risk-management requirements.

Joint-District News Release: Navigation locks on Columbia, Snake rivers close for annual maintenance, repairs

18-011 Lower Granite open for vehicle crossings on Monday holiday; Travelers should plan alternate routes across river at ‘LoMo’ and Little Goose dams

LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – If your upcoming Washington’s Birthday weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams on the river in Washington are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federally recognized holidays, unless otherwise announced. Lower Granite Lock and Dam, near Pomeroy, Wash., will be open for public vehicle crossings from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Monday, Feb. 19, holiday. However, Walla Walla District operations officials want to remind the public of the Washington’s Birthday holiday closure affecting two of three dams that normally allow public vehicle crossings – Little Goose, near Starbuck, Wash.; and Lower Monumental, near Kahlotus, Wash. Little Goose and Lower Monumental are normally open Monday through Thursday, but will be closed for the holiday.

18-009 Little Goose debris-removal work to temporarily close dam to vehicle crossings Feb. 12-15

STARBUCK, Wash. – Public vehicle traffic across Little Goose Lock and Dam will be temporarily suspended Monday through Thursday, Feb. 12-15, to accommodate river-debris collection and removal activities, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, operations officials at the dam.
